Another story is told about a bag of gold which is supposed to be hidden by a sailor in a cave which connects two old castles. One day a sailor got in his ship a bag of gold and some jewels and as he was thinking of what to do he heard the sound of guns and thought he was going to be robbed as he was noted for his wealth. He returned again to land but he lost the jewels which were found by the crew of another ship. He landed near Glenbeigh about five miles from Killarglin and as there was no castle there he travelled on until he came to a castle on the river Maine but this was in in ruins and there was no place there to hide his treasure. He travelled on until he came to Molahiffe Castle and in the cave between the two castles he hid the gold. People tried for it from both castles(continues on next page)- Collector
