    Fádó nuair a bhí an cogadh ann timpeall 20 bliain ó shoin bhí alán saighdiúirí ag imeacht timpeall ó ait go h-áit ar fuaid na tíre.
    Lá amháin tháinigh an chuid díóbh go dtí Maol an Chóirne agus caith na daoine dinnéir a thabhairt dóibh. Lá eile do thángadar agus ní raibh choinne leotha agus chuadar isteach go dtí tig an Chráinig agus caitheadar dinnéir agus té a chuir síos dóibh.
    Nuair a bhíodar ag imeacht um thráthnóna d'fhágadar míl acu.
    Aon duine ná thabharfadh an rud a iarrfadh siad de agus go mbeadh sé acu bheithdís ar buile agus b'fhéidir go marbhócfadh siad iad.
