    (a) The soft wind rustled in the branches and a solitary dog howled.
    (b) A dry twig crackled under my feet. The rabbit raised its head and looked in my direction. I had not time to lose. I raised the gun to my shoulder and I fired both barrels. When the smoke cleared away there was my fine rabbit scurrying into the burrow.
