- Long, long ago I lived in a tilled oval-shaped garden. Good care was taken of this garden and cabbage was sowed annually there.
Here I lived in a small egg and day by fay I emerged from my dark home. How glad I was to see the sun. But, gladness soon changed to sorrow because the winter was coming hard upon me. So I weaved a cocoon to guard myself from my enemy Mr Frost. Here I lived until Spring came again and I burst my little home and I became a green maggot.
