When John & I were coming from the fair we met two farmers. They said they sold their cattle to a buyer from Dublin. He was a decent man they thought, for he had given a high price for the beasts. One of them had bought the evening paper in the town & said he saw in it where there was a man killed in Belfast by a motorcar. The younger of the two farmers said he had no time to read the papers because he had to work too hard.
