    When I was returning from a dance...

    When I was returning from a dance at about 12 o'clock I suddenly noticed smoke pouring from one of the upper windows. I immediatly ran to the Fire Station at the Mall and the Brigade lost no time but however there was no hope for the doomed premises.
    I noticed that the efforts of the Brigade were greatly hampered by poor water pressure and at times there was only a mere trickle.
    I think ti would be a good thing to hold a public enquiry for an adequate water supply befo
