  1. Over a thousand people attended an Aeridheacht in Ballintubber on Sunday last. On the Árdán were:- Rev. Fr. Biggins, P.P. Mayo Abbey, Mr. Michael Moran, Solicitor, Castlebar, Mr. Owen Hughes, N.J. Knockroooskey, Miss Dot Kelly, Dance Teacher, Castlebar, the misses Lordon and McDonagh, Preperatory College, Tourmakeady etc.
    Children from Westport, Castlebar and from the surrounding villages acted on the stage. Owing to a heavy downpour of rain the Aeridheacht finished up early. Medals were distributed at close of Aeridheacht. Mr. Michael Moran, who opened the
