Tugadh an t’ainm Cruac-na-Sealga air, cionnus go rabh cró ann agus go mbheadh na daoine ag seilbh agus go mbhéad siad ag fanacht sa chró. Tá trí loch sa bhaile seo, = loch dubh, loch-na-bhfaoileóg, loch an ghaineamh.
