- About a quarter of a mile from Thomas Mackey’s house there is a ring of clay with some trees growing on it. It is called a “lios”.In Ballard there is another lios with flags, and trees growing around it. There is also a well in this lios. Collected by Máire Ní h-Allmhúráin, Knockaunroe.
