(55 years) - There was a weaver and a tailor, and shoe maker in the Commons South and the house that the weaver had can be seen yet and tis called Cabhail Figheadóra.

(60 years) - Long ago when the people had no ropes they used to get rushes called “Luachair Catheen” take the white part out and boil it in oil. They used plat the white part and leave it for a week to harden and then they called those ropes.
