  1. All the houses in this locality were thatched long ago. There were two rooms in them, a kitchen and a big bedroom. Sometimes the fireplace was at the gable-end and sometimes at the middle-wall. The houses were thatched with straw and sometimes with rushes. The walls were made from mud and stones.
