At a wake one night a man insulted Shown Burns and struck him. Shown did nothing and laughed and joked away as if nothing had happened. But when morning came all the men were saying good-bye to one another and Shown shook hands with the man who insulted him and he kept saying "Good-bye, my friend, Goodbye, goodbye" and all the time squeezing on the man until when he let go of him he had every bone of his hand smashed. That was Shown's way of getting revenge.
