There was an old school in Derrinea about half a mile from our house. There is a small portion of the ruin still standing. My Grandmother went to school there, and if she were alive now she would be 87 years of age. The schoolmaster's name was Edward Mullee. The children used slates and slate-pencils for writing. The children had forms but no desks.
