  1. In the parish of Killimer there lived a man whose name was Joseph Green. He and his wife were not happy. There were courts held in private places Joseph Green was tried in one of these courts and was found guilty. He was put in prison in Kilrush with the Black and Tans by the repulbicians. Two of the republicians were protecting his wife. One night Joseph Green escaped and burned the republician's hay. After that he was shot by unknown people. Since his death his blood remained on the floor and shall remain.
