  1. The people ate two meals long ago. They cut hay and corn before the breakfast. Often there was a scuttle of potatoes and a piggin of milk brought out into the meadow.
    They ate meat and beef a few times in the week for the dinner. They drank better milk. Potatoes and milk was the staple food of the people.
    The table was left in the middle of the floor while people were eating. It was often when the wheat (the corn) was cut it was brought in and ground in a guerrin.
