  1. Three miles to the north east of Kildysart there is a little valley. In the valley there is a forth with three walls around it. For many years lights were seen there. So one bright night the neighbouring boys and men made up their minds they would go and look for the gold. They got spades and forks and went, when they were near the forth they heard a noise. They stood for a moment and heard no more. They went into the forth and were there for about two hours searching when they met glass and a boot. They were not long searching when a grey hound followed them. They all went in all directions from the hound.
