Ar an leathanach seo

  1. In olden times the people had three meals a day, breakfast, dinner and supper. They were eaten at regular intervals the same as nowadays. They used to rise extremity early and usually had breakfast about 8 O clock. For breakfast they had Indian Meal porridge, for dinner potatoes and fish and for supper potatoes and milk. The table was placed in the middle of the floor and the people ate standing. The potatoes were thrown altogether on the middle of the table or in some houses they were thrown into a kitch in the middle of the floor and each one took what they wanted. They very often had nothing else for dinner but salt and sour milk. It is said that when they had tea first they ate the tea leaves and threw away the water. Very little bread was used and this small quantity consisted of brown bread grown by themselves. If they had meat at all
