   Léim na bAille [?]gets its name from a cliff in the Ox mountains between Gleann and Laragan.
   Sideán is a mound, flat on top, and a tunnell underneath; a person could go into it, but nothing of the tunnell remains now.
   The Long field got its name because it is a very large field.

   These are some of the names of places in my district.
   St.Patrick's Altar sometimes called the Druids Altar is believed to be the spot where St. Patrick said Mass after having banished the Druids from the locality.
   Saint Patrick's Pasture which lies to the east of Cloonmacduff got its name because of the belief that St. Patrick having built a Church there. It lies on the left bank of the River Unción.
   Lloyd's Hill Got its name from a family named Lloyd who lived there.
   Green Wood Got its name from the number of fir trees that grew there.
   The Well field so called because of a spring which is found there.
   The long garden got its name because if its length.
   Fionn Machumall's [?] Rock Got its name from the belief that Finn Machumall lifted it with his little finger.
   The Hollow Valley
   The Druids field So called because it was once the haunt of Druids.
