At one time, there English visitors at Fitzmaurices in Kilcara, Duagh, These Fitzmaurice were a Protestants family who owned a big track of land around Duagh. Among the visitors was one brave strong fellow, who did great feats in England and had a great opinion of himself. One day as the visitors were walking in the lawn where there was a great big stone, which Shone Burns, used to lift. This famous English man had great looking at the stone, and Mr Fitzmaurice said, "you seem to thing you could lift that", I don't presume any such thing", replied the Englishman, or there "isn't a man in Ireland, to lift it", "I bet you 10 pounds I get a man sixty years of age to lift it"
