There is an old woman in the townland by the name of Mrs Broder. She is eighty four years and is fairly good for old stories. - The land is fairly good, some is red earth and is good for tillage. There isn't any wood near it. Islandanny is called an island because it is surrounded by rivers. The river Feale is bounding Shronebeirne in the South. There is a little river bounding it from Pilgrim Hill in the North(continues on next page)
