- First of all a crock is procured and a wee turnip. Then there is a hole made in the turnip and a small piece of candle put into the hole and put in the bottom of the crock. Then a piece of wire is tied to the top of the crock and a second piece is attached to this to form a handle. Then a cover of a polish is holed and put on. The candle is lighted and the cover put on and it is a pretty lamp.
