  1. Sore Throat
    Roast salt was put into a woollen sock and tied around the neck.
    Tooth-ache
    A frog's leg was put into the bad tooth, and the Sign of the Cross made over the tooth with it.
    An abscess
    A poultice of yellow weed which grows on river banks was used. It was first put on the hearth and covered with red seed and left there for some time. While being prepared the person who had the boils had to go out because the worm the worm would smell the seed and [?] travel to some other part of the body.
