  1. Story
About twenty - five years ago, a farmer who lived in this place, named Pat Carey was cleaning all the drains in his farm. One of the drains in his farm leads to Poll na nGad and it flows through the rocks there.
It was a Sluggara. "The Sluggara" is the place where the water sinks through the rock.
When he was cleaning around the place, he found an Elk's head. It is said to have been there for hundreds of years, and some say it must have been there since the time of the flood. He gave it to somebody, but I do not know to whom he gave it.
