    Devine arranged to go with Sheerin in two days after and continue the digging.
    But Devine and his mother went the next day. They lifted the flag and found under it a large pot of gold. They took it home with them. Before leaving they put back the flag and covered it with clay just as they got it.
    So Sheerin went the next day and Devine went with him not pretending he was there before. They lifted the flag and got nothing.
    Some of Devine's descendants still live and retain the riches.
