- One night a man was coming home from Boyle and just as he was coming above at Hollybrook he saw a barrel rolling on the road behind him. He stepped in on the side of the road and and let the barrel pass on. When it had passed on, the man began walking on the road behind the barrel and immediately the barrel turned into a black dog with fire coming out on his mouth, and the let three yells! and sank down in the road before the man. This story was told to me by Mrs Murrin, Doonshekeen, Ballindoon,Boyle Co.
