In the olden times the people used to eat three meals in the day. The breakfast the dinner and the supper.
the breakfast was eaten at about nine o'clock in the morning. The people used to work for one or two hours before the breakfast and they used to have a good appetite.
The breakfast usually consisted of potatoes and buttermilk but sometimes a little bread and tea were taken after the potatoes. The dinner which was usually the same as the breakfast with the addition of a roast herring was eaten at about 2 o'clock.
