- I live in Tonemoyle. It got that name because the old people of the village used to say the fields were bare and also no bushes grew in it long ago. That is why it is called Tonemoyle. It is divided into three parts, namely Tonemoyle, Tonerue and Cloonathuthra. There are thirteen houses in it at present. There used to be nineteen in it long ago but four or five of them changed to new homes and holdings. A good few of the people used to go to America long ago. There is a cílín in Tonemoyle. That is where the little infants were buried long ago. Most of the ole people are able to speak Irish. Long ago there was a school in Tonemoyle and there(continues on next page)
