  1. Kilgevrin is my native village. It is situated to the north of the river Clare.
    Nobody knows for certain why it got that name There is Killeen in it. It is in Mulchays field on the side of the road leading into the bog to the south of Kilgevrin.
    People say that a man called Gevrin had the field the lios is in. That is how it got the name. Other people say that it was confusion of names between Kilgevrin and Liskeavy. They say it should be LiosGevrin and Killagí[?] Because there are ruins of a chapel in the old graveyard in Liskeavy
