- Burnchurch - on top of the hill at the north side of Moyglass - a village about three miles north of Fathard in the CO. Tipperary.
This is reputed to be one of the oldest churches in Ireland.In St. Patrick's time there was a very fine castle there owned by the OKearneys who owned practically all the land in Tipperary at that time.
After St Patrick had visited Cashel he came on a visit to O'Kearney at Knockingladd.
He converted the O'Kearneys and their household and baptised them.
He was then asked to remain for dinner.
