  1. On a farm now held by J. Shea of Tubber, Cloneen there was a limekiln being worked about 200 or more years ago. The stones were being carted by four men from the quarry at Cloneen. Twas usual for the men when bringing the last loads to take a drink before leaving. Three left about eight o'clock one remaining until the shops were closed, being well under the influence when he left.
