    Marriages mostly take place in our district in Shrove. They do not take place on Shrove Tuesday. Money is given as fortune and matches are made in our district. Stock is given sometimes.
    I do not remember marriages in the houses. There is a wedding held in both the brides and bridegrooms home. Strawboys
