  1. There was a man selling a cow and
    he had his son with him. His son
    was crying for money ti buy sweets, and
    his father would not give him any.
    He had the cow sold to another man,
    and the boy went to the man and
    said if you give me a half-crown I
    will tell you what is wrong with the cow.
    The man gave him the half-crown
    and he said when that cow begins to
    calf all the men in Ireland could not
    stop her.
