  1. Marriages mostly takes place in this district in Shrove. People do not get married on Shrove Tuesday. They think it is an unlucky day. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the lucky days to get married. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are unlucky.
    People give money as dowry in this district. Straw - boys visit the houses. They dress in straw and in old clothes. They get plenty of food and are received very kindly. They usually dance at the weddings. the wedding generally takes in the house of the bride.
