  1. The name of my district is Four-Roads. The name of my parish is Tisara. The barony in which I live is Athlone. There are about twenty - nine people in it. There are eight families in it. All the families have a different name.
All the houses are slated except one. Four - Roads got it's name from the four quarters going one each side of it. There is one man over seventy in the district. He cannot speak any Irish. He can tell stories in English. His name is :-
    Patrick Healy,
    Four -Roads,
    Athleague,
    Roscommon.
Houses were more numerous long ago. There are no ruins in it now. They are all cleared away. The young people went to America, but the old stayed at home.
there is no song or saying in which the townland is mentioned
