  2. A swallow flying low is a sign of a coming storm. When the seagull comes inland it is a sign of storm. Other signs of a storm coming on are a blue flame in the fire and the sheep going for shelter.
    The signs of rain are a dog eating grass, soot falling down the chimney, the duck quacking loudly and the sun setting in a bank of clouds.
    If the stones dry quickly after a shower there will be more rain. When there is a rainbow in the morning it is
