  1. Long ago the old people believed that forge water would cure a toothache.
    It is supposed that the seventh son or daughter has a cure. If a worm is put into the childs hands after it is born that child can cure ring worm.
    Diseases such as sore eyes, or sore feet are supposed to be cured by going to holy wells on certain times of the year.

  2. There are two forges in my district. One is in Dysart and the other is in Tibarney. The owners of the forges are Thomas Connolly and Paddy Mulligan. There is a wooden roof on the forges. The bellows is made of wood and felt.
    The blacksmiths shoe horses and asses.
