There was a landlord in County Galway one time. He had tenants down in County Mayo and every time he went down gathering the money it was dark when he was coming home and a robber used to take all the money off him. He had a servant boy and he told him that it it was better for him to leave the money to the poor people that he used to get it from than that robber to have it. The servant boy told the landlord to give him the horse and saddle the next year and he himself would go down. The landlord said "when a smart man like me cannot bring it up a fool like you cannot bring it up." The servant boy told him to see if he could do it and the landlord said "alright,"
