- A man lived about one mile from Shrule on time. He owned the best horse around the place. Another man lived in Balla and he had stables which covered one acre each. He used to buy horses from another man who used to steal them. The man who used to steal the horses stole this horse from the man who lived near Shrule. When the owner got up in the morning the horse was gone. This man son went down to Balla and at a cross-roads there was a dance. The name of his boy was Michael Molloy. He asked a young boy where did this man who bought the stolen horses live and the man told him that this man's daughter was one the other side of the road.
