- PósaidhtheLong ago when a person was getting married, the girl would borrow a gold ring. When the marrige would be over the girl would not return the ring for three weeks. She would have a gold ring bought for herself by this time. When she went to return the ring she should bring some present to the woman she got the ring from. The present would be a sweet cake.

- Long ago the people used to get married in their own houses. They used to say it was unlucky to get married in October or on “Shrove Tuesday”. The breakfast was always taken in the girl’s house.
