    One day O’Brien who lived in lemeneigh castle had men shearing sheep, and a man passing by asked for alms. The owner of the sheep said he would not give him any. The man then said “Níor tháinigh fear bailighthe riamh, ná thiocfaidh fear scapaidhthe ‘na dhiaidh. O’Brien asked what he said and the man told him. He then called him back and gave him a big amount of wool.

  2. Gods help is nearer than the door .This is how this saying came. A woman came to console another woman who was in great trouble. The latter said “God’s help is nearer than the door”
    The visitor said “Indeed then it is not “. She stood up and ran to the door and on reaching it she fell and broke her leg.
