The fox make his den in a craggy place. “Inish Pairc” (in Roughan) is the home of many foxes, Cearthú na madra is noted for them also.The badger makes his burrow in a craggy place also.
The fox often turns the badger out of his burrow and takes it up himself.The otter is found in the River Fergus.
The hedgehog rolls himself in leaves in Winter.
The squirrel makes his nest in an old tree. He collects his winter food during the Summer, and Autumn.
The weasel makes his nest under a rock. He kills many rabbits and drinks their blood.The hare makes his form near a ditch or wall.
The rabbit makes his burrow near a ditch also.
