    The tailors of this district work in their own homes but if required they travel from house to house. Many of these tailors stock cloth as they are shop proprietors.
    A saying in this district is "Monday is the tailor's holiday.
    The implements used by the tailors are, a sewing machine, a soothing iorn, a scissors, a thimble, a needle and thread.
    Clothes are not woven in the houses but tweeds, serges and gaberdine are used for clothing.
    Shirts were made locally in the olden times. The material used in the making of them was linen. Socks and stockings are kinitted locally.
