- Some time ago, there lived in this district a man named Freyne, he was a noted robber who lived in this Parish.
He had a blind eye and a lame leg.
In his early life he was a butler at Mount Juliet with the Earl of Carrick.
One day a gentleman from Mount Loftus came to visit the Earl. As the night came very stormy and wet he was unable to go home. He was very troubled about Lady Loftus.
