  1. There are many of local beliefs in our town as regards the weather signs.
The signs of fine weather are, a blue sky, and the smoke goes straight out of the chimney.
When the wind is blowing North it is a sign of snow. East wind brings rain. West winds bring storms. The sky is covered with stars when we are going to have frost.
When the hills seem near it is a sign of rain and another sign is when the dogs eat grass and the swallows fly low.
