Ar an leathanach seo
- We sow half a acre of potatoes every year. The names of the potatoes we sow are Kerr Pinks, Arran Banners, Irish Queens, British Queens, Flounder, and Champions. The potatoes are sown in drills and sometimes in ridge. Spades are not made locally but bought in the shops. Before sowing the old potatoes they are cut in what we call sgioláns. When the potato stalks appear above the ground they are scuffled and are "risen to". When they are a foot above the ground they are scuffled again and "risen to" once more. The potatoes are dug in September. If they are set in drills they are dug with a plough or(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
