  1. At a place in the river Feale called The Point of the Island near Ballyoneen a young boy named Patrick Connelly was bathing. He dived to the bottom and got caught in a weed and could not release himself. Two men from Ennismore were down near the place mending a net and went search for him, when they got him he was dead. He was drowned 15th of August 1934.
    A man named John Murphy was fishing at Ballyhorgan he was crossing the river and the bottom fell out of the boat. He got drowned. It was going from fishing he was, when he was drowned.
