This is so called because there is a windmill in it. There is another field called the "mill field" because in this field there is an old mill where people of long-a-go ground the corn.
- There are often weather signs in the sun, moon, and stars. When the sun sets red in the evening it is a sign there will be good weather. When the sun sets white there will be bad weather. When the moon is on its back or when there is a circle around the moon it is a sign of bad weather. When there is a clear sky in the night and when there is a lot of stars in the sky it is a sign of frost. When the smoke goes up straight it is a sign of good weather and when it goes down to the ground it is a sign of bad weather.
