The hunters waited on a height to await the return of the hounds and the hare. On being so long accustomed to seeing the hare return with the hounds out of sight often a mile behind they believed the hare could not be killed.
The fame of the hare spread over the country and men with hounds came long distances to hunt it. The hare always returned and the dogs far behind. At last a stranger came with two hounds. One pure black and the other pure white. He said anything short of a demon would not go from the black hound. The hare got up as usual before them and ran to Glensawk. The stranger waited on a height to see the return of his hounds. Away towards Crossursa he saw the hare with the black hounds a hundred yards behind. As they(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
