OConnell was elected ,by the gallant men of Clare.
The galling yoke of our church they broke ,
With the banner proudly flying Grasped in hands, proudly flying,
    By poor Micky Considine.
    1V
Ennis men remember ,When Parnell first came down .
You met him in your thousands and you cheered him through the town.
You elected Lysaght, Finnegan and threw out the Whig OBrien,
God speed the man that led you on ,
    Poor Micky Considine.
    V.
If Parnell and OConnell were alive and here to-day,
They would pluck the weeds off Nick's grave ,
    And throw the rocks away.
They would draw cut stones upon their backs.
And work in the moonshine ,
    To build a fitting monument
    To poor Micky Considine.
    V1
Gallant men of Ennis ,well for the work prepare
With all the other leading men in every part of Clare .
