    Several people emigrated from this district to America. The land is level and good .The river O Garney by the border of Ballysheen.

    I live in Fenloe, in the parish of Newmarket.
    There are five families in the townland, and about twenty people. There are no two families of the same name. All the houses are slated except one. Fenloe got it's name from Fiann lach which means "Wild Duck". There are no men living there over seventy.

    The name of my townland is Ardane. It is in the Barony of Bunratty and the parish of Sixmilebridge. There are fourteen people and three houses in it. There were about twice as many houses in it long ago as there are now. The ruins of three houses are still standing, one is used as an out house. There is one person over seventy in the townland.
